Faith in Later Life is looking for someone to help the organisation build new relationships across the UK, grow its Church Champion network, strengthen engagement, and represent Faith in Later Life at Christian exhibitions and events.
Job Title: Church Engagement Lead (Part Time)
Hours: 17.5 hours/week
Salary: £14,750 actual salary (FTE £29,500)
Location: Home-based in the UK, with regular UK-wide travel
Reports to: CEO

Faith in Later Life is a UK christian charity inspiring and equipping Christians to reach, disciple and mobilise older people in every community, through the local Church.
The organisation works through a growing network of Church Champions – church leaders, seniors ministry workers and other Christians – inspiring and equipping them through relationships, events, training and practical resources. Job Purpose
To grow the Church Champion network, deepen engagement with existing Church Champions and their churches, develop Mission Partnerships, encourage participation in Faith in Later Life events and resources and support for the organisation’s wider mission, and represent Faith in Later Life at conferences and exhibitions.
About You
The successful applicant will be a committed and practising Christian who recognises the importance of reaching, discipling and mobilising older people, and is passionate about helping local churches respond to this opportunity.
They will be an enthusiastic relationship-builder, confident and experienced at making new connections, spotting opportunities, speaking publicly and representing Faith in Later Life professionally. Highly organised, reliable and proactive, they will understand the UK church landscape, work sensitively across denominations and traditions, and be able to work independently and follow things through.
They will also be digitally confident and hold a full UK driving licence with access to a suitable vehicle. The role includes transporting and setting up exhibition materials and spending extended periods staffing exhibition stands.
Some evening, weekend and school-holiday work, UK travel and overnight stays are required.
Faith in Later Life is a Christian charity, and this role involves representing the organisation’s Christian mission and working closely with churches and Christians. It is therefore an occupational requirement that the postholder is a practising Christian. The postholder will also be expected to subscribe to and work in accordance with the Evangelical Alliance’s Basis of Faith.
