The Environmental Issues Network of CTBI welcomes the Green Investment Declaration as a valuable resource for churches in their engagement with issues of climate justice. An initiative of two of CTBI’s Bodies in Association – Operation Noah and JustMoney Movement – the resource supports faith organisations to go further in their work on the financial dimensions of climate justice with proactive investment in just and sustainable solutions, supported by collective advocacy and awareness-raising.
CTBI General Secretary Dr Nicola Brady said: “Climate justice is a priority area of concern and collaboration for our members recognising the urgency of the current situation and the need to stand in solidarity with those most vulnerable to the impacts of climate breakdown and with future generations. The Green Investment Declaration offers positive and impactful actions that can be taken by faith communities, as well as providing further opportunities to speak about how our faith motivates and inspires us in this work.”
