This year’s national Inter Faith Week in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is 15 to 21 November 2015. Scottish Interfaith Week, led by Interfaith Scotland, is 22 to 30 November 2015.
Inter Faith Week is seen as an opportunity to:
- Strengthen good inter faith relations at all levels.
- Increase awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society.
- Increase understanding between people of religious and nonreligious beliefs.
The theme for Scottish Interfaith Week is ‘Care for Creation’. With the Climate Change Summit taking place in December, the focus is on what faiths have to say about caring for the environment and protecting it for future generations.
