Inter Faith Week 2016 provides an opportunity to strengthen good interfaith relations at all levels; increase awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society; and to increase understanding between people of religious and nonreligious beliefs.
Local groups are encouraged to mark the week through a range of activities such as dialogues, debates and talks; joint social action projects; interfaith sporting events; exchange visits between members of different
places of worship; and social media interfaith awareness campaigns.
A new Inter Faith Week Toolkit is available, which includes suggestions for marking the Week with examples of the many successful activities held for previous Inter Faith Weeks, practical guidance and links to further information.
