The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has called for urgent action for climate justice ahead of the UN summit on climate change (COP 21) in Paris in December. He delivered a lecture on the environment as part of a two day visit with the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
‘It is not too late to act, but we cannot afford to wait. We all agree on the necessity to protect the planet’s natural resources …. and we are all in this together’, he said.
The full lecture can be heard on the Church of England website.
