A new report of informal Church of England and Baptist Union of Great Britain conversations relating to Christian unity have been published under the title Sharing the Faith at the Boundaries of Unity.
The conversations, which took place between between 2012 and 2014, follow up the first report Pushing at the Boundaries of Unity published ten years ago.
In his preface to the book, Anglican co chair Rt Revd Donald Allister, Bishop of Peterborough, says:
‘This book is quite unlike other reports of ecumenical conversations. In its conversational form it aims to give the reader a flavour of the cut and thrust of friendly debate, on the key theme of sharing the Christian faith today. How do we know what the faith is? How do we receive and grow in the faith? How do we celebrate the faith in worship? How do we share the faith beyond the walls of the church?’
The report is published in book form (with the addition of two further reflections) by Regent’s Park College, Oxford, or can be downloaded from the Church of England website, which includes further information and a study guide.
