This one-day seminar from the Balfour Project and King’s College London looks at the role Britain played in the creation of Israel in May 1948 which brought joy to Jews but catastrophe to the Arabs of Palestine.
British, Israeli and Palestinian speakers will reflect on the roots and consequences of these events, with a focus on Britain’s responsibility, and also explore possible ways ahead.
